David Mendonsa is a junior at the University of Missouri-Columbia majoring in Accounting, David is a graduate of Parkway West High School in Chesterfield, MO where he was part of the State Championship water polo team in 2014. He participated in several other sports and is also an Eagle Scout which Josh would have undoubtedly thought was a very cool accomplishment.
David relishes his involvement with the Sigma Chi fraternity, is involved with rec athletics and participates in several philanthropic pursuits around campus.
When asked about what it means to be a Spirit of Sigma Chi Scholarship recipient, David said, ""This scholarship is important to me because it honors the spirit and character of Josh. The foundation is not only great because they help many people but those helped are inspired to work hard, play hard, and most importantly, help others in return. I'm grateful to help the foundation carry on this spirit and inspire others to live like Josh."
