Kansas City Women in Technology, enabling Females in STEM

Kansas City Women in Technology is a grassroots organization helping to grow the number of women in technology careers in Kansas City. Their focus is offering: educational workshops & speakers for young girls; mentoring for high school & college girls considering technology career paths; and networking events & volunteer opportunities for current professionals.

Josh Seidel Memorial Foundation partnered to support two programs: CoderDojoKC and Coding & Cocktails. CoderDojoKC teaches kids 7 to 17 to code. Coding & Cocktails teaches foundational coding skills to adult women. This 2019 sponsorship started its own ripple effect, as the laptops donated continue to benefit students far beyond the first tuition covered. The estimated impact of these two program sponsorships is over 700 students.
